INK

Are you a writer? Are you the next Shakespeare? Arthur Miller? Oscar Wilde?

Starting April 2019, Port Talbot Little Theatre will be launching a new writing workshop, INK, for new and emerging playwrights. The program will run for 10 weeks and culminate in a rehearsed reading of all scripts developed in this time. You don’t need any previous writing experience, just an enthusiasm for getting your work on stage.

In our inaugural year, writers will create a short 8-10 minute piece which will then be presented to an audience.

The program will run from April 23rd 2019 to June 25th 2019.

The date the plays will be performed is TBC.

INK WORKSHOP

Over the course of ten weeks, INK writers will see the development of their work from initial idea to finished manuscript. Workshops are structured so as to allow your creativity to flourish. Workshops will cover core technique, narrative craft, and provide writers a regular opportunity to share their work with peers. In addition, you will be mentored and given regular one-to-one feedback to help your script be the best it can be.

ARE YOU WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR?

INK is targeted at new and emerging writers who have not yet had their work professionally produced. We’re looking for writers who feel they would benefit from mentorship, and who would like to see their work presented to an audience. We are looking to create a diverse group of unique voices, and we want to get those voices heard. The only restriction is that you must be 18 years old to apply.

WHEN, WHERE, COST?

INK will run every Tuesday between April 23rd 2019 and June 25th 2019 at 7:30pm.

The venue will be PTLT Rehearsal rooms, the hall behind Wesley Chapel, Taibach, Port Talbot.

Please do not apply if you are unable to attend the workshops between these dates.

INK is a FREE program.
